Jennie Eisenhower
reviews
as LIZA MINELLI, CAROL CHANNING, ETHEL MERMAN, IDINA MENZEL, etc in FORBIDDEN BROADWAY

Jennie Eisenhower's megawatt smile and mobile face make her perfect for comedy - not to overlook her gorgeous and far-ranging singing voice. Wait until you see her do Carol Channing or Ethel Merman or the Idina Menzel in Wicked.
-Toby Zinman, The Philadelphia Inquirer
as ATA in CRIMINAL HEARTS
________________________________________________________
Jennie Eisenhower (Ata) has an amazing energy onstage and completely sucks the audience into the thoughtful and crazy musings of her character. She moves seamlessly from jumping on the bed in excitement to shaking in anger with a gun. Her many monologues never feel contrived or lack motivation, instead she creates compassion for the character as the audience roots for her to finally get over her mental blocks.

"Jennie Eisenhower does a contained, detailed job as the dissatisfied yet convention-bound wife in this lesbian adaptation by Caroline Kava for Mauckingbird Theatre Company
-Kathryn Osenlund, Curtain Up
"Eisenhower has a volcanic physicality and you believe she would fire pistols in the air just for fun....her lethal glance when Tessman tells her to stop playing Chopin is priceless -- it’s Joan Crawford by way of Carol Burnett."
-lewis Wittington, Edge
as WOMAN TWO in SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD
__________________________________________________________
"Jennie Eisenhower, as Woman 2, displays outrageous comic talent and heart wrenching pathos in spades on a wide range of songs. Her renditions of “Just One Step” and “Surabaya-Santa” are laugh-out-loud funny, yet she takes on the challenge of perhaps the most famous number in the show, “Stars and the Moon,” with heart. Coating the sensitivity of the piece with her gorgeous and versatile voice, Eisenhower manages to not only emerge from the shadows of famous Broadway divas like Audra MacDonald who have covered the song before her, she makes the piece well and truly her own."

as KATE in THE WILD PARTY.......

“Only Jennie Eisenhower as a simultaneously needy and seductive Kate seems to understand the high stakes in the piece and gets under the skin of her character. Eisenhower carries off her songs not only with élan and conviction, but she also embodies Kate with a vitality and energy missing the other leads.”
~Warren Hoffman, TalkingBroadway.com
“One of the best performances is by Media favorite Jennie Eisenhower, so convincing as the mixed-up lush, Kate…”
~Trish Cofiell, Delware County Daily Tim
as SAINT JOAN in SAINT JOAN............

"As Joan, Eisenhower is quick-minded and spirited..."
The Washington Post:
"Miss Eisenhower deftly portrays Joan's galloping enthusiasm and guileless bluster....She is so spritely that the play suffers from a noticeable lack of energy when she is offstage."
The Washington Times
"In the title role, Eisenhower is the show's greatest asset."
Washington Examiner
"The Olney Theatre Center has opened its 2005 season with a riveting production of 'Saint Joan,' and the most riveting thing about it is the performance of Jennie Eisenhower as Saint Joan....Miss Eisenhower's performance is positively luminous.
The Catholic Standard
as WOMAN 2 in SUBURB............

''Suburb'' wouldn't be half as good without its personable four-person ensemble: Adinah Alexander, Ron Butler, Jennie Eisenhower (Julie Nixon and David Eisenhower's daughter) and James Sasser."

as WOMAN 1 in DREAMHOUSE.....

“The voices are all first-rate….Eisenhower is particularly memorable in her comic turns such as “Guilty” and “Queen of Country,”
--NY THEATRE.COM
“Along the journey, Jennie Eisenhower stood out as the core comedienne, but all of these ladies can sing, and some of the ensemble work raised Goosebumps in a rather warm room."

as LAURA in THE GLASS MENAGERIE....

“Eisenhower…floats around the stage with a heartbreaking meekness. At times, it’s nearly painful to watch her shy smiles and uncomfortable contortions - and that, of course, is the key to the character of Laura.”
~Evan Gillespie, WhatzUp
“Eisenhower delicately portrayed Laura with the vulnerability of fragile glass. She moved the vociferous audience into awed silence.”
~ Syril Kline, The South Bend Tribune
as AMNESIA in NUNSENSE.....

“Who can say enough about Jennie Eisenhower as Sister Mary Amnesia….Not the least bit air-headed in real life, Eisenhower’s delivery is that much more convincing. Her vocal range and style are impressive…”
~Susan Serbin, Delaware County Daily Times
“All shine, particularly young Eisenhower…who’s daffy amnesiac is simply hilarious.”
~Mark Cofta, News of Delaware County
